Aventino Garden

Nàbito architects' landscape project for a private villino in Rome’s Aventino neighbourhood reinterprets the Mediterranean garden as an intimate, contemporary refuge. The design is structured around a series of sinuous, leaf-shaped flowerbeds, whose organic geometry softly contrasts the villa’s classical architecture.

A rich planting palette of aromatic shrubs, perennials, and native species introduces subtle textures and seasonal blooms, while the carefully selected grasses and herbaceous layers gently sway with the wind, animating the garden with a continuous, delicate movement.

A natural stone pathway weaves through the lush vegetation, guiding visitors beneath citrus trees, cypresses, and centuries-old olive trees, creating moments of shade and openness. This harmonious integration of architecture, landscape, and sensory experience transforms the garden into a living, ever-changing tapestry—a quiet oasis in the heart of historic Rome.
