NáBITO architects the Ziggurat, Dubai

Our proposal for a mixed uses Building on the Al Marmoon Oasis, Dubai

Al Marmoon Oasis Pyramid — Dubai’s Living Mirage

Rising from the tawny sands like an ancient mirage reborn, the Al Marmoon Oasis Pyramid re‑imagines the timeless desert ziggurat as a twenty‑first‑century city‑within‑a‑building. Its stepped silhouette, draped in lush vegetation, evolves from the region’s vernacular—oasis farming terraces, wind‑catching towers, and the shimmering geometry of Bedouin textiles—yet it speaks the language of advanced eco‑technology and flexible urban life.

Vision

Al Marmoon Oasis Pyramid is not merely a landmark; it is a manifesto for desert urbanism. By fusing indigenous wisdom with regenerative design, it proves that a building can be at once refuge, workplace, playground, and farm—thriving in harmony with one of the planet’s most demanding climates. In the heart of Dubai’s protected reserve, the pyramid stands as a living promise: the future city can grow green, even in the driest sands.

Spiraling Nature – A Visionary Vertical Garden by NàBITO architects

NàBITO architects The Stairscraper

Our first prize 🥇in the TOTAL HOUSING Storefront for art and architecture competition in NEW YORK re-edited for a new adventure. Stay with us.

Rising like a living sculpture from the landscape, this latest concept by NàBITO architects transforms the traditional tower into a vibrant twisted ecosystem. A spiraling structure wraps elegantly around a central core, creating wide 360-degree balconies on every level. This unique form turns the verticality of a classical high-rise into a sequence of stacked villas—each with its own panoramic terrace and private garden.

At the base, a curved glass volume steps gently into the surrounding greenery. The generous use of reflective glazing dissolves the boundary between architecture and nature, while the lush vegetation that crowns each level reinforces the building’s identity as a vertical park.

By merging organic geometry with a bold sustainable vision, NàBITO proposes more than just a building—it’s a new model for living. A biophilic landmark where architecture, landscape, and light spiral together toward a greener urban future.

New Marsala Waterfront

Lungomare Capolilibeo competitiion, 2ND PRIZE

NáBITO architects is proud to announce third prize for the international competition of Capolilibeo, Marsala, Italy.

Take a look to the On going proposal.

Cara Marsala,

This project concerns the urban environmental and landscape redevelopment and enhancement of Marsala's urban waterfront near Capo Lilibeo. At present, the stretch of waterfront has critical issues related to the discontinuity of pedestrian spaces, poor accessibility and lack of adequate street furniture. The project intends to respond to these critical issues through an inclusive and sustainable design that favours a new relationship between the city and the sea, emphasising Marsala's historical vocation as a crossroads of Mediterranean cultures. The main objective of the intervention is to enhance the relationship between the city and the sea, strengthening the public usability of the spaces and their historical, cultural and landscape value.

The intervention takes the form of a large, open, barrier-free, pacified platform that restores the city's link with the sea, making the seafront a place of social, cultural and recreational aggregation. A clear transition from the current barrier to a great resonant embrace with the Mediterranean Sea.

The project is developed with the intention of creating a welcoming entry point that invites visitors to explore and fully experience the surrounding environment. The pedestrian connections are not only functional, but become true welcoming gestures, designed to accompany those arriving towards the sea, almost as an invitation to discover a landscape that slowly reveals itself. The ramps and walkways are designed to be visually open, so that the passer-by can immediately perceive an atmosphere of openness and contact with the territory.

New Ognina Waterfront international competition, Catania

Here´s NáBITO architects proposal for this Settled urban competition

A key goal of the project is to integrate the historic village of Ognina with Catania's waterfront and revitalize the suburb. The master plan proposes removing the existing flyover that disrupts connectivity. In its place, a bicycle and pedestrian walkway will enhance views and create seamless access between the village, waterfront, and city.

The raised walkway will ensure safe passage for walkers and cyclists, highlighting harbor views and Ognina's history. Below, gardens will promote relaxation, while a refreshed main square with seating and shade trees will foster community gatherings and celebrate local culture. The project emphasizes local materials, using lava stone to outline pathways and the square, enhancing cultural identity and connecting to Catania's geological heritage.

Oasis 2nd prize, Cesa, Italy

Second phase for Cesa square settled, we are proud to announce and show our proposal!! Another award for this season. second prize 🏆

The proposal aims to create an urban public space that acts as a bio-climatic shelter, a protected oasis within the city. The main objective is to realise an inclusive, green, sustainable and a safe public space that can improve the quality of life of residents and visitors, promoting social interaction and a sense of community. Through the adoption of design strategies aimed at environmental sustainability, the use of eco-compatible materials with respect to the circular economy and reuse, it is expected to significantly improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, favouring a stronger sense of community and social interaction. The square will be a landmark for social sustainability and a pole of attraction, while respecting its history and context.

The garden is formed by creating a different elevation, raising a portion of the square, providing privacy and protection from the two driveways that lap the lot. The curved and sinuous forms symbolise an embrace, conveying a sense of welcome and inclusiveness for people of all ages; the space accommodates flexible and variable functions. The raised plaza fits harmoniously into the urban context, offering a quiet space protected from vehicular traffic. Designed with ecological materials such as corten steel, local stone and permeable paving, it creates a welcoming and sustainable atmosphere.

The prevalent presence of a garden with native vegetation, with plants reflecting local biodiversity, enriches the environment and promotes biodiversity. This bio-climatic refuge, sheltered from the noise and dust of driveways, becomes a green oasis where residents can enjoy a favourable microclimate, thanks also to the choice of shrubs and trees that provide shade in the hot months, optimise rainwater management (which will be collected for irrigation and cooling), and improve air quality and comfort for users.
